A Small “What If” That Became Sakhi
Sakhi began with a simple “what if.” Two friends since college — the kind who shared ideas, laughed over unlikely plans, and often wondered what it would be like to build something of our own someday. Back then, it felt distant. Like one of those things you say but don’t really expect to happen.
Over time, life did bring us closer — not just to each other, but to something we both deeply connected with: Kutch.
Through slow visits, local markets, and long conversations, we found ourselves drawn to the textiles there — especially Ajrakh and Bandhani. What stayed with us wasn’t just how beautiful they looked, but the feeling behind them. The time, the hands, the stories.
At some point, the “what if” turned into “why not now?”
And that’s how Sakhi began — not as a big plan, but as a small, heartfelt start.
Even today, Sakhi remains what it was meant to be — a quiet, growing space for pieces we truly love, sourced directly from artisans, shared with honesty, and worn in your own unique way.
